It wasn’t my intention to miss the last two years of writing my list. I’ve just been stuck in a weird kinda stasis. I’m certain that many can relate. Though it would seem therapeutic to write out a list of the music, It wasn’t. I started – both years – and ended up with little to show despite having fallen in love with so many albums, artists, and songs. I just couldn’t find it in me to share anything I had fallen so deeply for.
I remember being young – where pompous and opinionated dissections of music were celebrated and encouraged. Peers bonded over tearing things apart – if it wasn’t a good album, we had to eviscerate it. I’m very much over this.
There were quite a few records and a few movies and television shows I fancied this year. Here’s a list of what I’ve enjoyed most. I hope you found things to enjoy. Keep enjoying it, despite what some pretentious prick has to say about it.
