Reverend Horton Heat: REV (Victory)
I’m so glad that they went back to their crazed Rockabilly sound. There’s still a couple slower toe tappers with that country twang but they are damn good as well. It’s their best since Full Custom Gospel Sounds back in 1993.

OFF!: Wasted Years (Vice)
This is about as riff-driven a disc as you can get. I loved First Four EP’s but this surpasses it by leaps. Mr. Morris has not lost his bite at all.

Black Lips: Underneath the Rainbow (Vice)
This disc is a bit more polished than Arabian Mountains. It seems with each new release they step up the "catchy tune" factor and leave the low-fi behind.

Ex-Hex: Rips (Merge)
It took me a few listens before I really got in to it. Mary’s vocals just didn’t sound right to me but I’m in to the groove now. No Wild Flag but a real rocker.

Half Man Half Biscuit: Urge for Offal (Probe Plus)
Thanks to Mr. Lefsky I’ve gotten another dose of the Biscuit and it’s as diverse as their last outing. Every track offers a different ride. They don’t fit in to my usual sound for the most part but I just love these guys.

Halloween Nuggets: Monster Sixties A Go-Go (Rockbeat)
Three discs and 99 tracks of pure Nugget-dom. I admit I probably have about 25% of the stuff on here but that still leaves one HELL of a lot of Go-Go music. Great classick (and not so classick) movie trailers as well as some wild guitar/sax tunes. A real steal of a deal.

Nightmares for a Week/Banquets: Split 12" (NoSleep)
Yet another great release from Kingston’s Finest. "Canadian Tuxedo" is by far the stand-out track and would totally fit being played on WDST without a doubt.

Strictly Sacred – The Story of Girl Trouble (Wig Out)
WOW…What a surprise that this would make my list. A mix of live, and alternate versions, as well as, things like hilarious phone messages between KP, Granny Go-Go and Bon. Also some great radio interview stuff.
